Eight (08) new cane varieties have been registered with Federal Seed Certification and Registration (FSCR) Department, Islamabad as initial step towards variety approval for commercial cultivation. Further, it is added that data two (02) cane varieties have been completed as S-2010 CPSG-2525 and S-2013 SLSG-1283 under National Uniform Varietal Yield Trials (NUVYT) as mentioned in previous meeting dated January 07, 2021 and has performed the distinctness, uniformity and stability (DUS) test for two years.
